How to merge PDF files

1. Add your PDFs

Choose or drop multiple PDFs. The list shows the page count and file size for each document so you can check them before merging.

2. Reorder or remove files

The final document follows the order shown on the page. Drag files on desktop, use the up and down buttons on mobile, and remove anything you do not need.

3. Merge and download

When the order is correct, select “Merge PDF.” Once processing finishes, download the newly combined PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Are PDFs uploaded to GoOmniTools servers?

In supported browsers, files are read and merged directly on your device. GoOmniTools does not actively upload these PDFs to servers it operates in order to perform the merge. Browser, device, and third-party service behavior may still vary.

How many PDFs can I add?

On desktop, the current limit is 20 PDFs with a combined size of up to 200 MB. On mobile, the limit is 10 PDFs and 80 MB. These limits help reduce browser memory problems when processing large files.

How is the page order determined?

Pages within each source PDF keep their existing order. Files are then merged strictly according to the order shown in the list, which you can change or trim before starting.

Can I merge password-protected or encrypted PDFs?

No. The current version cannot unlock or process encrypted PDFs that require a password. First unlock the document with software you trust and save an unencrypted copy, then add it again.

Will every advanced PDF feature be preserved?

The tool copies pages into a new PDF, but it does not guarantee preservation of bookmarks, form behavior, scripts, attachments, digital signatures, layers, or other special interactive elements. Check the downloaded result when working with important documents.

Is Merge PDF free, and does it add a watermark?

The current tool is free to use, requires no account, and does not add a GoOmniTools watermark to the merged PDF.
