How to Use Social Media Image Resizer
- Upload your image: Drag and drop or click to upload your photo (Supports JPG, PNG, WebP).
- Choose a platform: Select the social media platform (e.g. Instagram, YouTube) and your intended use case to automatically apply the recommended size.
- Adjust crop or padding: Choose Crop to fill the entire frame, or Fit to add background padding. In Crop mode, simply drag the selection box over your image to choose the visible area.
- Choose format: Output as JPG, PNG, or WebP. Transparent backgrounds require PNG or WebP.
- Download: Click Download Image when the preview looks perfect.
What is a social media image resizer?
It's a free tool designed to help you quickly reformat photos to perfectly match the dimensions of various social media networks, preventing automated cropping and compression issues by platforms.
How are my images processed?
In supported browsers, resizing, cropping, and format conversion happen directly in the current browser. The tool does not intentionally upload images to GoOmniTools-owned servers to perform these operations.
Can I use a custom size?
Yes. By selecting the Custom size preset, you can enter any exact pixel dimensions into the Target Size fields.
How do I keep a transparent background?
Set the Fit Mode to "Fit with Padding", select "Transparent" as the background, and make sure your output Format is set to either PNG or WebP. JPG does not support transparency.
Which image formats are supported?
You can upload and download JPG, PNG, and WebP images. GIF images are not supported in V1.
