What is an image grid splitter?

An image grid splitter divides one complete image into separate tiles. It is useful for AI-generated grid images, Instagram, Xiaohongshu, photo carousels, and other workflows that need an image split into parts. It starts with equal source-pixel cuts, and you can drag a grid line to fine-tune a cut before downloading tiles from left to right and top to bottom.

Split AI storyboard images

AI tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini may generate multiple storyboard panels inside a single image. Choose the matching rows and columns, then drag the dividers to fine-tune each panel before exporting them as separate images.

Fixed gridsUse 2, 4, 6 or 9 tiles, or set between 1 and 10 rows and columns.
Original-image splittingPreviews and downloads start with equal original-pixel cuts and follow any grid-line adjustments.
Clear orderingEach preview has a number, but numbers are never written into your downloaded images.

How to use it

  1. Choose or drop a JPG, PNG, or WebP image.
  2. Choose 2, 4, 6, or 9 tiles, or set custom rows and columns.
  3. The complete image is shown by default; drag grid lines to fine-tune cut positions.
  4. Check the live previews, then download one tile or the complete ZIP.

Privacy

Your images are processed locally in your browser. The tool does not intentionally upload images to GoOmniTools-owned servers to split them. Very large images may need more memory and processing time depending on your browser and device.

Frequently asked questions

Are images uploaded to a server?

The tool does not intentionally upload images to GoOmniTools-owned servers to perform the split. Reading, previewing, and exporting happen directly in supported browsers.

Will image quality be reduced?

PNG input is exported as PNG. JPEG and WebP input are exported as high-quality JPEG. Browser Canvas re-encoding can create small format differences, but the tool does not add a watermark.

Which image formats are supported?

JPG/JPEG, PNG, and WebP are supported. Support can also vary by browser.

Can I make a 6-tile grid?

Yes. The default grid is 3 rows × 2 columns, with tiles numbered from left to right and then top to bottom.

Can I split storyboard images generated by ChatGPT or other AI tools?

Yes. Choose the rows and columns that match the storyboard layout. If the generated panel boundaries are uneven, zoom in and drag the dividers to fine-tune the cuts before downloading individual panels or all panels as a ZIP.

Can I use it on a phone?

Yes. The page stacks naturally on mobile and supports touch dragging for grid lines. Especially large images may require more device memory and time.
